Oct8ne has two products with different installation characteristics: The lite version that doesn’t require any plug-in and the Pro version that includes a plug-in for Magento.
The first thing you need to do is create an Oct8ne account, when you register you will create a backoffice for your company, from there you will manage all the clients who visit your website. It only takes 3 steps.
Copy and Paste
Login to the Oct8ne control panel and a code script will appear. Copy and paste it before the label </body> on each page where you want to activate the Oct8ne service. Alternatively, if you want the service to appear on the entire website paste it on the master template. This allows visitors to the website to access the Oct8ne chat window and product viewer. If you have no idea what we’re talking about please send these instructions to your developers by email.

Don’t worry, you can always go back and consult the code by clicking SETTINGS and going to DOMAINS. If you have any doubts you can contact us at support@Oct8ne.com.
Is everything working correctly? When you start Oct8ne the agent’s status is set as ‘deactivated’ by default(INVISIBLE). To see how Oct8ne works on your website go to OPTIONS > SYSTEM STATUS and click on TEST SITE. This will only be visible to you.
Now it’s ready! Personalize the interface with your logo and your company’s corporate colors and everything is ready to go! Show Oct8ne to your online visitors from SETTINGS > SYSTEM STATUS and activate it in VISIBLE.
If your website is constructed with a different platform and you want to integrate the Pro version you will need the Oct8ne API.
